Canopies

Here at Chapel Doors our window canopies are constructed from a lightweight yet robust corrosion resistant, extruded aluminium, polyester powdercoated framework and glass filled nylon components for durability and longevity. Corner braces between the outer legs and back and front cross members keep the framework rigid.

Did you know Chapel Doors supplies and installs canopies ideal for covering an outdoor area for family gatherings?

We can supply fit and install a wide range of canopies for your home to suit your requirements. Whether youre looking for a patio awning, a sunshade for your conservatory, a covered outdoor area for family gatherings or an awning to help prevent the intrusion of low level sunlight into your home, here at Chapel Doors we have the knowledge and expertise to advise you on the most suitable awning for your home.

So how are canopies made? Equally sized fabric panels, ranging in size to ensure that as the canopy folds, the pleats of fabric that are formed are kept to a minimum whilst a third leg set, as standard on widths over 4m, prevents the canopy framework from bowing. An optional protective coverboard (recommended) offers good protection to the window canopy fabric from inclement weather when retracted away.

Our window canopies are available in a wide range of acrylic fabrics which are 100% solution dyed and woven using the strongest warp/weft construction ensuring they hold their shape and colour.

The fabrics feature a TEXgard invisible coating which prevents dirt from clinging to the surface allowing rain water to easily wash it off. It also offers protection against mould, algae and fungae growth and all other environmental influences.

Operation is through a simple, yet reliable cord and pulley system with a wall cleat to tie the cords back to. Built in friction strips under the fabric ensures the cords run smoothly whilst a locking mechanism prevents the canopy being retracted too tight. Alternatively opt for manual operation through an easy to use gear box and detachable crank handle.

Optional motorised operation is available via a radio controlled motor contained within a slimline casing mounted to the centre of the canopy framework, effortlessly operated from a wirefree transmitter.
